There’s no point in doing sth. 做某事無意義11. nothing but 只有;只不過 anything but 根本不;除…以外任何事12. rarely, seldom, hardly, scarcelyRarely和seldom意思都是“很少”(表頻率),seldom更正式、更書面。
Hardly和scarcely意思都是“幾乎不”或者“剛剛”(表程度)。相比之下scarcely更正式、更書面。People rarely ask questions.
