新概念雙語：互聯(lián)網巨頭預測科幻將不久成為現(xiàn)實

This is not science fiction — this is the future predicted by China’s technology giants， and it is closer to reality than you think。

這不是科幻-----這是中國的互聯(lián)網巨頭們預測的未來，未來科技和現(xiàn)實的距離比人們想象中的要小得多。

Senior executives at the tech companies said on Thursday that the Internet of Things — a network of physical objects or “things” embedded with electronics， software， sensors and network connectivity — will further change lives in China。

星期四，科技公司的高管表示，物聯(lián)網——即物理對象或“事物”被嵌入到電子、軟件、傳感器和網絡連接-----將進一步改變中國人的生活。

They were discussing future technology trends at the 2nd World Internet Conference in Wuzhen， Zhejiang province。

在浙江省烏鎮(zhèn)的第二屆世界互聯(lián)網大會上，互聯(lián)網大伽們交流了未來的科技發(fā)展趨勢。

Robin Li， chief executive officer of Baidu Inc， China’s largest online search company， said he is betting on the future of artificial intelligence。

中國最大的在線搜索公司百度的CEO李彥宏說，他打賭將來人工智能會實現(xiàn)。

Li， whose company has applied artificial intelligence technology to vehicles， said self-driving cars will be quite common on the roads in three to five years。

百度公司已經將人工智能應用在汽車上，李彥宏稱無人駕駛汽車在未來的三到五年內將會普及。

“More important， cars will be more like a computer on wheels，” he said， adding that people are expected to be able to connect with each other through their cars。

他說，“更重要的是，汽車將更像是在車輪上的電腦，”并補充說，人們有望通過汽車連接起來。

For Baidu’s Internet rival Tencent Holdings Ltd， there is even the possibility of people communicating through retina or virtual reality technology。

對于百度的互聯(lián)網競爭對手騰訊公司來說，甚至通過視網膜或虛擬現(xiàn)實技術交流也成為可能。

“Even brain-to-brain communication via an electroencephalogram may be possible by wearing some devices，” said Ma Huateng， chief executive officer of Tencent。

騰訊公司CEO馬化騰說：“通過佩戴一些設備，即使是通過腦電波來進行大腦溝通也能夠實現(xiàn)。”

Zhou Hongyi， chief executive officer of Qihoo 360 Technology Co Ltd， said that by connecting more than 1 billion people via smartphones， many innovative business models have been mushrooming and drastically changing people’s lives in China。

奇虎360科技有限公司CEO周鴻祎表示，智能手機連接了10億多人，從而導致許多創(chuàng)新性的商業(yè)模式層出不窮，徹底改變了中國人的生活。

“But in the future — be it cars or wearable devices — all things can be connected to each other via the Internet。 The more people we have， the more devices can be connected to the Internet， and the stronger and more powerful our Internet industry will be，” he said。

“但是在未來—無論是汽車還是可穿戴設備—所有的東西都可以通過互聯(lián)網連接。使用的用戶越多，穿戴設備越多，互聯(lián)網產業(yè)就會越強大有力。”他說。
